Captain Sylvester Benjamin Butler of the 301st Supply Train, 76th Division had an official AEF Scrapbook which measured about 18 inches x 25 inches x 4 inches. In it he kept many of his official orders and records along with post cards, photos and other memorabelia from his service in the American Army during World War I.
The following pages come from that tome as well as from the book he edited and co-wrote called, "The 301st Supply Train in the World War" published by Enquirer Print of Litchfield, CT in 1925. In the book, after each company roster, there are a page or two of memories for each company. Many are told with a nudge and a wink, leaving them somewhat cryptic. I've included several excerpts that were more informative in the Company Briefs sections on the linked roster pages.
